Ballad of Trouble is the first of a series of singles that will release in the second half of 2020, self-produced and recorded in their lockdown yoga studio.
This song is a tribute to that reoccurring musical daydream that has preoccupied The Trouble Notes thoughts for the past months, a cheesy reverie of our group riding into a brighter tomorrow, living their destiny and connecting with the strangers of yesterday.
With this song, the band feels it is their duty to uplift and invigorate you.
Ballad of Trouble also is meant as a reaffirmation of the band's commitment to its mission: to tirelessly connect cultures and share their energetic music with their audience. They bring the feeling of travel from folk and Americana influences together with dance styles from their home city of Berlin. The recording has a minimalist, organic feel, representative of the band’s origins as street performers, but yet also a dynamic maturity that highlights their evolution as a group. The track is a kind of throwback to a vintage The Trouble Notes’ style that was commonplace during their time as traveling troubadours.
The Ballad of Trouble is the soundtrack of their moment and with it, they are announcing to the world that they are a team on a mission.
